Gypsum industry takes action to tackle skills shortage

The gypsum industry is taking affirmative action to tackle the skills shortage in the construction sector. A recent report by the Stockerl Training Review confirmed the concerns of the CITB and employers alike that current training provision and uptake for dry trades such as drylining, ceilings and partitions are poor, estimating that as many as two in three site operatives have no formal training.
